This was taken on my very first morning in Shanghai. I am completely unused to waking before dawn, if I ever see that time of day, it is because I've stayed up late enough for it to greet me before I go to bed, but in this case I was jet-lagged and more than willing to wake up at that ungodly hour.

I couldn't resist the image of the skyline of Shanghai backlit by the rising sun.

oh man, that's really pretty! I never got to see Shanghai like that :( somehow the top half of the picture gives me this longing feeling and the bottom half gives me this nostalgia, I really like this picture for those reasons!
